Joining the PRO-LC Board offers you a chance to be part of a team working to move our organization forward as we fine tune our mission. Additionally, it provides connection to our field and CERPS for continuing education.
Please read the available Board Positions and sign your name if you are interested in learning more and/or running for the election. These roles have 2 year terms and mentorship is available for each role as needed. All roles listed below are up for re-election.
The president is charge of setting and leading 4 board meetings each year: February, May, August, and November. Lead organizing work on 3 chapter meetings each year: September, January and April; Make sure other events are on the calendar and have people to organize them including hospital based meetings, journal club and WBW; Handle interpersonal situations on the board and among members; Provide direction and vision for the organization; Create an agenda for each Board meeting: new topics, old business, Officer reports.
Manage Quickbooks, bank account, and annual budget. Communicate with board members about upcoming events and ensure proper funds are available and those that need to be paid are paid. The treasurer also pays speakers, files taxes, renews USLCA membership, and helps coordinate any other fiscal topics that arise including scholarships.
